Background

  • Matthew H. Paull was Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of McDonald’s Corporation from 2001 until he retired from that position in 2008. 
  • Prior to joining McDonald’s in 1993, he was a partner at Ernst & Young where he managed a variety of financial practices during his 18-year career and consulted with many leading multinational corporations. 
  • Mr. Paull also served as a member of the Advisory Board of Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P. and as an advisory council member for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. 
  • Mr. Paull holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. He is a certified public accountant.

  • Mr. Paull has significant financial expertise with a deep understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, accounting and controls and investor relations. 
  • As a former chief financial officer of a multinational corporation, he has extensive experience in international operations and marketing. 
  • Having served on the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Limited board since 2016 – sitting on the Audit and Financial Committee as well as Management Resources and Compensation Committee – he has strong familiarity with managing large-scale international industrial organizations.
